Grove Care Agency is committed to ensuring a positive work environment for the entire team.

All members of the team are offered regular training to keep up to date with the latest healthcare standards. Training includes various areas of work-related subjects including end of life, dementia, challenging behavior, and more.

A great care team

This is achieved by implementing a number of policies and processes, whilst taking regular feedback from the team on how they can improve. Staff set the hours and days of work they would like to work, this enables them to schedule work for staff week in week out and gives both staff and clients consistency and continuity. It also allows them to take both full and part-time staff. This availability can be flexible during school holidays when child care may present as a problem staff may choose to work evenings and weekends instead of days. Staff normally must give 4 weeks’ notice to change availability, but this can be overruled if a staff member is having problems that may affect their working hours.

Before any new member of staff begins work, they are supported through a series of free training sessions to ensure they have all the skills they need to begin work. They understand that in order for their clients to receive the best care, their team needs to feel confident that they have all of the necessary skills and tools available. Whether the new recruit has never worked in healthcare before or has previous experience, they provide one to one support in order to provide the most suitable training.
