Vagabond coffee has built up an outstanding reputation across the small handful of outlets in which it is served, and we are delighted to be able to add Laissez Faire to this exclusive club. At Laissez Faire, you can enjoy something much more personal and special than what the big chains offer, as Vagabond specialises only in small quantity roasts (typically 5kg batches). Their coffee varieties include beans sourced from Kenya, Ethiopia, Mexico, Rwanda, El Salvador and Colombia, so there’s no shortage of delicious varieties to sample. As for the heavenly aromas, a great coffee can be as complex as a great wine. So depending on your mood, how about something floral or treacly...biscuit-y or apple-ish… raisin-ous or caramel-ly? Just follow your nose – or our recommendations!
From a simple revitalising cuppa through to the most delicate infusion of herbal tea, the drink that satisfies will be that little bit more satisfying at Laissez Faire. Our teas are exclusively from Yumchaa, whose products are only to be found in a handful of the Capital’s more discerning cafes. What do you fancy today? Feeling adventurous, stressed, celebratory, under par or over the moon? There’s a tea or two for each occasion – black, green, red bush or even blue (yes, blue) tea, along with specialty favourites such as Jasmine, Earl Grey and English Breakfast, all featuring the finest leaves from India, China, Ceylon, Japan, Egypt and elsewhere. Where will you go to today?
To accompany our special coffees, teas and other delicious drinks, we offer all kinds of mouth-watering treats, snacks and meals. Freshly baked French sourdough breads and fine Viennese pastries are always on offer, while savoury and sweet croissants, filled tulip muffins, chocolate cookies or tempting dessert slices are a wonderful alternative. To start your day, there’s a choice of no fewer than three continental breakfasts, while a little later on a selection of quiches or perhaps a croque monsieur will hit the spot. To accompany them, or as an alternative, there’s a wide range of salads to choose from. For a warming change, simply opt for a superb savoury crepe. Some days, though, nothing but a tasty sandwich will do, and at Laissez Faire there are plenty of traditional and unusual fillings to savour, with a wide choice of breads, crusty rolls, baguettes and more to go with them.
